Summary of Unit / InquiryIn this unit of inquiry, we will take all of the information learned in the previous unit, and apply it to The Americas. We will begin by taking a look at North America and its diverse physical features, resources, and cultures. We will then talk about Canada and how its culture is heavily influenced by Europe. We will then take a look at the history and civilizations of Mexico. Next, we will take a look at the beauty of Central America and the Caribbean. After this, we will examine the economic struggles that are present in Colombia and Venezuela. We will then progress by taking a look at the cultures of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. We will conclude this unit by taking a look at how the Andes Mountains dominate the physical geography of Ecuador, Peru, and Chile. At the conclusion of unit two, students will have an enduring understanding of the geography of the Americas.
